Shiatsu, is an ancient Japanese total body treatment, given through clothing to stimulate the flow of energy in the body.

What happens?
Unlike its Chinese equivalent, acupuncture, Shiatsu requires no needles, relying instead on thumbs and elbows to apply pressure to vital points of the body. Along with pressure point treatment, gentle stretches and joint mobilisations are also used.
Each treatment is individual and can range from deep pressure and strong stretches (to release and revitalise), to gentle holding and profound stillness (to support and nourish spiritually).
Sessions take place on a futon or padded mat on the floor. Please bring loose comfortable clothing to wear during the treatment.

Benefits of treatment
When our energy gets stuck or depleted, our mental emotional and physical health can start to decline. Shiatsu can benefit a wide range of people and Shiatsu practitioners are trained to work with all stages of pregnancy.
A shiatsu session will leave you feeling deeply calm, aware, alive and relaxed.
